Evolutionary Molecular Biologist Inspired by Nature's Diversity

SNSF postdoctoral fellow @ McGill University, Montréal, CA

Motivation

I am intrigued by the broad diversity of organisms that exhibit a whole spectrum of life styles and that have evolved features that enable them to survive and propagate. During their struggle of existence plants and animals have developed many different ways to compete, and to cope with new environments. My innate curiosity drives me to investigate species diversification and its patterns and processes on molecular level. Currently, I focus my research on the diversification of fishes.
